Do you have memories of playing sport as a kid?  I began playing soccer as a five year old for the Swan Districts Junior Soccer Association at Swan View Park and can still remember the pair of leather Patrick boots and polish I received from my Uncle Damir.  Uncle Damir was probably the one that led me to playing as he himself had a successful junior career and represented our state.

I also played teeball for the Swan Districts Teeball Association at Ray Marshall Park in West Midland and watching the ground move on a weekly basis was just as fascinating as playing the game of teeball considering we were playing on the old West Midland tip.

Throughout the times of when I was involved in soccer and teeball during the 1990’s, it not only provided me with an opportunity to get exercise and stay healthy but also created some great friendships along the way too.  We had no internet, no iphones and very little computer games back then compared to what the kids of today have.  It was certainly a different time growing up but I loved it.

If you have any memories of playing junior sport in our area, we would like to hear about them you can send them through to memories@realestateplus.com.au
